ACCT 110: Understanding Bookkeeping

Hours: 10 (Lecture)

Prerequisite: None

Description: Introduction to bookkeeping software, with a focus on Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks Online. Covers setting up company books, categorizing transactions, reconciliations, and generating financial statements.

 

ACCT 210: Fundamentals of Bookkeeping

Credit Value: 3

Hours: 15 (Lecture)

Prerequisite: ACCT 110

Description: Comprehensive exploration of fundamental bookkeeping concepts, including chart of accounts, debits and credits, T-accounts, general ledger, sub-ledgers, and financial statements preparation.

ACCT 310: Building Concepts in Bookkeeping

Credit Value: 3

Hours: 15 (Lecture)

Prerequisite: ACCT 210

Description: Intermediate-level topics covering source documents, sales terms, credit limits, bank reconciliations, payroll basics, GST/HST, accounts payable/receivable transactions, inventory methods, and adjustment entries.

Lab Work: In addition to the lectures, homework and exercises will be assigned
